What's the typical approach for a one-time residential project?

Good afternoon folks! I've got a sauna building project coming up - nothing huge, maybe 10x12 feet, but I want it done properly. I'm leaning toward screw piles because I've read they're good for smaller structures. My main concern is whether I can rent equipment for this or if I need to hire someone. What's the typical approach for a one-time residential project?

Good afternoon! Screw piles are excellent for saunas - quick installation and solid foundation. For a one-time project, renting makes total sense financially. Many equipment rental places carry pile drivers now. The key is understanding what you're doing before you start. Visit https://how-to-work-with-screw-piles.blogspot.com/2025/06/what-is-pile-driver-and-why-do-you-need.html to learn about the process and equipment operation. For 10x12 you'll need probably 6 piles, which takes just a few hours with proper equipment. Renting for a day or weekend is cost-effective compared to hiring out. Just make sure you get basic instruction from the rental place on safe operation.
