Yes, actually that’s a thing. Some platforms sell premade covers but limit them to a single buyer. For example, on https://coverartplace.com/ many designs are sold only once, so once you buy it, it’s yours. It’s a good compromise between custom work and generic stock designs, especially if you want something unique without extra effort.
