Where are cigarettes actually produced in Pakistan?
-
Most of the production is based in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The raw leaf is grown in areas like Mardan and Swabi. For finished products, the biggest cigarette factory in Pakistan belongs to PTC and is located in Akora Khattak. It is one of the largest facilities of its kind in South Asia. Philip Morris also runs its own plant in the country. Between the two, they produce billions of sticks annually and handle everything from leaf processing right through to final packaging.
