2016 BMW 520i AC evaporator leaking – dealer wants 14k to replace, any cheaper options?

I'm absolutely gutted. My 2016 520i has a slow leak in the AC system, and after a dye test, the shop found that the evaporator is the culprit. The problem is that the evaporator is buried deep inside the dashboard, so replacing it requires removing the whole dash. The dealer in Dubai quoted me 14,500 dirhams for the job including parts and labor. That's almost a third of the car's value. I've been driving with no AC for two weeks now and I'm dying in this heat. A friend told me to look for a sharjah bmw ac cooling service that can do the same job for a fraction of the price because their labor rates are much lower. Has anyone here had an AC evaporator replaced on a BMW in Sharjah? How much did it cost and how was the quality of the work? I'm terrified of someone taking apart my dashboard and not putting it back together properly, leaving me with rattles or electrical issues. But 14k is just not feasible for me right now. I'm trying to figure out if I should just sell the car as is and buy something else, or take a chance on an independent shop. If you've had a good experience with a BMW AC specialist in Sharjah, please share the name. I need to make a decision soon because this heat is brutal. Thanks.
