Our Logistics Software Development Services Team Missed Integration Bugs
-
Honestly at a loss right now, thought we were close to done but apparently not.
We're near the end of a project with a logistics software development services provider, route optimization tool integrated with our fleet tracking system. Everything looked fine in their testing environment, but the moment we connected it to our actual GPS hardware, half the integration broke. Drivers are getting delayed location pings, some vehicles aren't showing up on the dashboard at all.
Feels like their team tested everything against clean sample data and never actually validated it against our real hardware setup.Trying to figure out what happened here:
- Whether this is a common gap when vendors test integrations only in controlled environments
- How to push for proper hardware level testing before we get anywhere near launch again
- Has anyone run into this exact issue with integration testing looking fine on paper but falling apart with real equipment? What did you end up asking your vendor to change?
