What does good epilepsy and emergency medication training look like for support workers?
-
I am in the position of someone taking care of a person who suffers from epilepsy, and it is essential that we make sure that all of us in our group have the capability to handle a situation when a seizure occurs. We are in the process of evaluating the content of the best possible course that would be useful for our group. Will it include the issues like recognition of seizures, use of emergency medications like buccal midazolam, and documentation? How long will this course take, and how often should such a course be updated?
