Can Land Rover pads be done the same day if I book in the morning?
-
My Land Rover Defender is due for new front brake pads, and I have a family trip planned for the weekend, so the car must be ready by tomorrow evening. The pads have never been changed, and the car has about seventy thousand kilometres. A friend told me a good workshop can do it the same day if you drop the car in early. Another friend said Land Rover parts are not always on the shelf, and some places make you wait two or three days for the right pads. I looked online for a Same-day Land Rover brake pad installation in Dubai, but every page said fast and cheap, so I still do not know what is realistic. Should I phone first and ask if they have my pads in stock? Is it better to bring the car in the morning so there is time to finish? Do they check the discs and the brake fluid at the same time? Does the warning message need to be reset after the job, and can they do that on the spot? Is it normal to ask for the old pads back? Also, what should the job cost on a heavy SUV like this? If you did a rush brake job before a trip, please tell me how long it took, what you paid, and what you would do differently. Easy answers help me most.
