The presence of black vertical lines on monitor screens normally indicates a cable issue or panel fault. First, make sure your HDMI or DisplayPort connecting cable is good and change it to another. You are also to test the monitor with another computer to determine whether the lines still exist. When they do, the monitor panel could be spoilt. Occasionally, the lines can also be eliminated by updating your graphics drivers or even by adjusting the screen resolution in case the problem is software based.
