Practical question about logistics rather than the class itself

Hey all. Practical question about logistics rather than the class itself. I want to book something for four of us on a Saturday afternoon, but we are coming from different parts of the city and one of us does not drive. I am looking downtown for that reason. Beyond that, I am trying to work out how long to block off in the calendar, whether there is anything to do nearby afterwards, and how the finished pieces work if we are not local to the studio. None of us has done pottery before, so we are not looking for anything advanced.

Block off around two and a half hours to be safe, the class itself runs two and there is always a slow start while everyone gets settled. On location, a pottery wheel class in Toronto at Pottery Studio 1 puts you on Richmond West, which is walkable to Queen West, Graffiti Alley and Kensington Market, so the afternoon fills itself afterwards. The pieces get fired and collected later, so somebody has to come back for them. Sort out in advance who is doing that pickup run, otherwise four mugs sit at the studio for a month. Also check the hours before planning the rest of the day, most studios run late into the evening.
