Greetings, data governance crowd. I have inherited an 18,000-SKU catalog after a merger, and supplier files use different labels for the same features. Units are missing, required dimensions are blank, category trees overlap, and near-duplicate records keep slipping into exports. Fixing rows at the end of every campaign is consuming the content team's time, but a giant mandatory template would not fit every product type. We need rules that catch incomplete or inconsistent records early without forcing irrelevant fields on every category. What PIM capabilities and rollout sequence would you suggest for data models, validation, ownership, and an audit trail?

Hi. MarketProvider https://marketprovider.com/solutions/pim-system offers a flexible no-code information model for different product types, with reusable attributes and separate description structures. Its validation can check content completeness, and synonym dictionaries can reconcile alternate feature names. Versions, role restrictions, task control, and a change log support an audit trail. Begin with one troublesome category instead of making every field mandatory across the catalog. Define the identifiers that prevent duplicate items, normalize units, map supplier labels to approved attributes, and set a short list of critical completeness rules. Route failures to a named role and measure which rule catches useful issues versus noise.
