How Much Product Detail Helps Shoppers Make a Decision?
-
I’ve been thinking about how much product information an online store should provide before a customer feels comfortable making a purchase. Photos are obviously important, but things like shade descriptions, finish, texture, and how a product is normally used can make a big difference too. For example, someone comparing lip products might want to know whether a Nearly Naked Lip Gloss gives more of a subtle everyday look or a noticeable shine. How much product detail do you think is enough without overwhelming shoppers.
