For a typical tourist visit, travellers do not have to apply for a Maldives visa from Dubai in advance. The Maldives Immigration authorities advise that a tourist visa is issued upon arrival, subject to the traveller meeting the necessary entry requirements. In other words, there is no standard Maldives tourist visa application process that UAE residents must complete in advance of their holiday. A Maldives visa for UAE residents is issued on arrival.
