How often do you really service your Infiniti in this heat? I keep getting different answers

  • I just got my car back from a quick oil change and now I am wondering if I have been doing this all wrong for years. I drive a 2015 Infiniti QX70 with about 101,000 km, and my routine has always been the same: whenever the sticker on the windshield says it is time, I go, and that is it. The booklet in the glove box says one distance, the sticker from the shop says a shorter one, and my brother in law, who is very serious about cars, says that with our summers and the traffic, you should go even earlier than that. Honestly it feels like everyone has their own number. I do mostly short trips to work and back, plus a long drive to Dubai now and then, and I know the engine does not like staying idle in the sun all day. Last week I noticed the brake pedal felt a little softer than usual, and the AC takes longer to get cold in the afternoon, so now I am thinking maybe I skipped some checks that I never even knew about. I read a page on to see what a normal visit should include, and I was surprised that it talks about more than just oil and a filter, like checking the brakes, the fluids, the battery and the belts. I had always thought a visit meant two things only. So now I am looking at Infiniti maintenance service in Musaffah Shabiya because it is close to my office and I can drop the car off in the morning. My questions are easy. Do you follow the booklet or do you go earlier because of the weather here? Is it worth doing the bigger checks every year even if nothing feels wrong? Which things do you think people forget the most, like the gearbox oil or the coolant? And do you keep every paper from every visit, or is that too much? I would love to hear how you plan your year, so I can make a simple routine and stop guessing. Thanks for reading.
