While working on contract basis, there arise questions such as, what is a 1099 position. A 1099 worker is different from traditional worker, who handles his/her own taxes. Knowing what is a 1099 employee will enable you to distinguish between the two. Definition of 1099 employee has to do with your independence and nature of work you do.
