Marina basement flooded last week – now my battery is acting weird

We had that water leak in our building's parking lot near Marina Walk and my car was sitting in about two inches of water for a few hours before they pumped it out. The car seemed fine for a few days but now the battery is draining overnight and I'm finding corrosion on the terminals that wasn't there before. I'm worried there might be electrical damage or maybe the water caused a slow short somewhere. A neighbor suggested I don't just swap the battery myself because something else could be wrong. He pointed me toward a Comprehensive Battery Service in Dubai Marina that apparently does a full check of the charging system and looks for parasitic draw before selling you anything. Has anyone here dealt with water damage and battery issues? I'm curious if they use a proper multimeter to trace the drain or if they just guess. Also wondering if saltwater from the leak could have messed up the ground connection. Really don't want to replace the battery only to have the new one die in a week. Any advice from people who've been through similar would be great.
