Yukon's brake pads keep wearing out fast – any affordable GMC shops?

I'm starting to get pretty frustrated with my Yukon because it seems like I'm replacing the brake pads way more often than I should be, and I'm not exactly driving it like a race car. I've had the pads changed twice in the past 18 months, which seems excessive even for a heavy SUV, and I'm starting to wonder if there's something else going on like a caliper that's sticking or maybe the brake fluid needs to be flushed properly. I've been taking it to the dealer for the past few services but I'm really questioning whether it's worth it given how much they charge for what feels like pretty basic work. I'm thinking of switching to an independent workshop that specialises in GMC trucks and might have more reasonable rates without compromising on the quality of parts and workmanship.
