How do you review motion-reference AI video for temporal consistency?

I have been refining a review checklist for short character videos generated from a still reference and a driving-motion clip. The biggest lesson is that an attractive key frame does not guarantee a coherent sequence. The difficult defects appear during transitions.

My current process is:

1. Define one clear action and a short duration before selecting inputs.
2. Choose a character image with visible joints, readable facial features, and clean clothing boundaries.
3. Trim the motion source so it contains one primary movement and limited camera shake.
4. Match subject scale, body orientation, and camera height across both sources.
5. Render only a short diagnostic segment around the hardest pose transition.
6. Review at normal speed and then scrub frame by frame.

During review, I check facial proportions, hand shape, floor contact, clothing edges, lighting direction, and background stability. If something fails, I change only one source or setting before rendering again. This makes cause and effect much easier to understand.

For the generation stage, I have been testing ai motion control with simple gestures first, then increasing movement complexity only after the character remains stable. I also save the exact reference, motion clip, crop, aspect ratio, and notes for every approved result.

How do other creators structure temporal review? Do you use fixed checkpoints such as the first, middle, and last frame, or inspect every difficult transition individually?
