Is it normal for new brake pads to squeal a bit?

So I finally got my car back from the garage yesterday after what felt like forever listening to that horrible grinding noise every time I slowed down. They replaced the front pads and rotors, and honestly, the stopping power feels incredible now compared to before. But I’ve noticed this occasional high-pitched squeal when I’m braking gently at low speeds, like when I’m pulling into a parking spot. It’s not loud or constant, just enough to make me second-guess if everything was done properly. I’ve read that new pads need a bedding-in period, but I’m still a bit paranoid because my last set never made a peep until they were completely worn out. I’m thinking of taking it back to the shop just to have them check the installation, but a friend told me I should just give it a few hundred kilometers to settle. Has anyone else experienced this with fresh brakes? I’m in Dubai and the summer heat probably doesn’t help either, so I want to be sure I’m not risking anything.
